New Board Officers
The following people have been unanimously elected for 2007:
Chair- Michele Frlth; Vice Chair- Elton Eddy; Secretary- Pat Taylor;
Treasurer- Dave Pitman; Area Representatlves- Peter Givens and Gene Clrese.
We plan to have our CERT radio check-in after the meeting, from our homes.

Concord Transcript Article Cites Water Pollution
The December'06 issue of the Concord Transcript lists what was picked up by
the vacuum street sweepers between June 2005 and June 2006: 5,000 cubic
yards of material containing about 950 pounds of copper, 1,000 pounds of zinc,
34,500 pounds of hydrocarbons and 79,000 pounds of oil and grease that
would have otherwise ended up In the creeks and Bay. Residents, you CAN
HELP by keeping the street gutters clean of leaves and debris.

Keeping Your Home and Neighborhood Safe from Break-ins
a: Observe unfamiliar parked vehicles; write down the license number and
description of the vehicle. Notice any occupants, looking directly at them.
Inform the police. b: Take In your newspapers; don't leave them out all day.
c: Lock ALL of your house and car windows and doors, Including the door
from the garage. We will discuss this subject more at the meeting.
