Join us for our first annual Pride Celebration. Community, business and service
organizations come together to celebrate diversity. On Saturday, June 18, 2005 the MCP will be celebrating
its first annual Monument Community Pride Festival and Resource fair, as an
event of 2005’s Centennial, “Celebrating 100 years of Community” in Concord. Organized by the Four Corners Neighborhood Action Team
(NAT) and the MCP, the festival aims to attract individuals and families from
inside and outside the community to see the Monument Corridor through a lens
of hope and opportunity, rather than its challenges. The festival will promote and
showcase over 185 local businesses (a unique blend of culturally diverse
markets, destination businesses and new businesses to meet the needs of our
community) as well as provide information on resources for education,
housing, and economic development.
There will be multicultural activities for children and families,
including music, art, and entertainment. Space is still available, but going quickly. Anyone interested in participating,
should contact Kathy Renfrow (925) 676-8403 or the MCP (925) 798-9638 for a
registration packet. |
