NEIGHBORHOOD PARTNERSHIP GRADUATION

Tuesday, May 25th, 2004 at 6:30 p.m.

Concord City Council Chambers
Civic Center, 1950 Parkside Drive

Concord Park Neighborhood Association (CPNA) has been in a Neighbor-
hood Partnership with the City of Concord for three years. Representatives from
the Police, Parks & Recreation, Home Improvement, Code Enforcement and others
attend our meetings, hear our concerns and take action to address our needs.

Our Partnership has matured and, based on an evaluation by Neighborhood
Services Staff, it has been determined that The Concord Park Partnership has met
or exceeded the criteria for graduation. Our primary connection with the City will
be a Community-Oriented Government (COG) Liaison Team. This team will be-
come the CPNA's direct link back to City Hall to get questions answered and
issues addressed.

Graduation marks an important milestone in a neighborhood's development
as a vital, active force in the community, working in partnership with the City to
make Concord a better place to work, live and raise a family.

The Concord City Council is honoring our Neighborhood Partnership for its
work over the past three years, and part of that graduation is the presentation of a
check for $5,000. This will help our Neighborhood Association to handle expenses
incurred; for example, National Night Out expenses and other activities.

Two other Neighborhood Associations will be graduating with us: The Dana
Estates and Meadow Homes Partnerships.

We cordially invite our neighbors to attend this graduation ceremony with
us, along with our past and present CPNA Board Members!

Sincerely, Pat C. Taylor, Chair 925-689-1472
